Abstract:
In today’s challenging property and casualty (P&C) insurance market, where rising premiums are the norm, business owners are seeking alternative risk management strategies that not only provide protection but also offer potential for profit. This two-hour continuing education session will equip Financial Advisors, CPAs, Attorneys, Estate Planners, and CLUs with a foundational understanding of how Captives—both P&C and Employee Benefits—can be powerful tools for clients navigating these turbulent insurance waters. Led by the Chairman of Marsh McLennan’s Group Captive Center of Excellence and a panel of seasoned experts, the presentation will cover the fundamentals and advantages of Captives, explore the differences between small and group Captives, and provide real-world case studies demonstrating impact and results. Attendees will also gain insight into the recent Marsh/McGriff merger and its implications for the local market, as well as innovative solutions like Parametric coverage. This session is designed to help Centers of Influence identify strong Captive candidates and make informed referrals that can transform their clients’ approach to risk and cost control.
